Meet the Author, Ashwin Haripersad
Ashwin Haripersad is a multi-certified Yoga and Reiki practitioner. Restorative Yoga – For a Healthier Way of Life, his first book, is the result of his dedication to the understanding and practice of Yoga and his commitment to serving others. It transcends the physical postures described and is designed to transform an inert way of life into a transformative journey toward enhanced physical well-being, deep internal healing, and heightened mindfulness.
By embracing practices such as deep breathing (pranayama) and fostering emotional wellness, Ashwin invites us to liberate our bodies and minds from the everyday challenges of our ever-changing modern world. It is of utmost importance that we listen to the voices of our inner selves and adopt a holistic approach to achieve a better life. In doing so, Ashwin explains how we can rid our bodies of many chronic and lifestyle-driven diseases, leading us to health and ultimately enlightenment. We are, for most of the time, lost in our thoughts, blaming our past for our future, and not being present. The practice of Restorative Yoga can help us break these cycles and positively move forward with awareness and intention.
